Holes on the ball let Gaga and Ives enjoy the sky and the beautiful ocean view while meeting and having refreshment or dining.

-dining table and chairs

the table is inspired by Ive's design of iPhone which is simple, and non-edgy corner.
While the bold V-shaped chairs are inspired by gaga's exaggerated design.

Week 1 of Exp 3- Mashup

My three clients:

Oprah Winfrey
Lady Gaga
Jonnathan Ive

Mashup:

As a TV star, magazine founder, businesswoman and celebrity, she believes influence is the union of power and purpose. She is a lodestar in its journey to global trendsetter and her mere presence is enough to trigger waves of hysteria. She is outrageous, artistic, brilliant, is a perfectionist and being the centre of attention. But most important, she has purpose—an abiding commitment to the principles of goodness and generosity that transcend any one individual by designing. She has this design ability combined with a craftsmanlike mentality with her style and sound. Her power of being a top star comes from the principle of simplicity, accessibility, honesty, and enjoyment. With a radical design, it is also so refined it could have been manufactured right then. Being in a league of her own in both her style and her sound, she is the new age alternative of Madonna who makes you want to invite her into your life—and she invites you into hers.

Week 1 of Exp 3- the three clients

Oprah Winfrey (1954-)

Hometown: United States

Article extract :  I believe influence is the union of power and purpose. As a TV star, magazine founder, businesswoman and celebrity, Oprah Winfrey certainly has power. But most important, she has purpose—an abiding commitment to the principles of goodness and generosity that transcend any one individual. I have sat with Oprah in interviews and in my home. I have felt her warmth, and I am always moved by her deep love for others. She makes you want to invite her into your life—and she invites you into hers.

Lady Gaga (1986-)

Hometown:  U.S.

Article Extract: She wooed us with Poker Face, taken off her 2008 debut album, The Fame, and, in summing up her perpetual eye-popping transformation with her style and sound, delivered her current eponymous lead single, Born This Way, with aplomb and controversy. In the past three years, Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has lived up to her name and her mere presence is enough to trigger waves of hysteriaA heady mix of electronic, metal/rock and pop sums up Gaga’s musical anthology. And that insatiable hunger to maintain her edgy sound is arguably revolutionising pop culture.
Is she outrageous? Yes. Does she revel in being the centre of attention? Most definitely. ….
As a friend, who is an intransigently die-hard fan, puts it, she is “artistic and brilliant”….
She is often compared to Madonna. But she seems to leap ahead and is in a league of her own in both her style and her sound. If anything, she is the new age alternative,….

Jonathan Ive (1967-)
Hometown:  United Kingdom

Article Extract : Even then, it was clear that Apple's head of design knew what he was doing. Ive defined his overarching design principles as "simplicity, accessibility, honesty, and enjoyment."And Ive -- with an assist, of course, from CEO Steve Jobs -- has been the company's lodestar in its journey to global trendsetter…"He likes to make perfect stuff," says Brunner…. Ive has this design ability combined with a craftsmanlike mentality."He had taken a phone and come up with a radical design, but it was so refined it could have been manufactured right then.

Final Submission

Rewriting the hypothesese relating to my 2 clients which creates Electroliquid Aggregation :
"People who know more than one language know how to master intonation which goes up and down."

Gaetana's Lab:

As a mathematicianGaetana's Lab is designed to be in a good proportion. For example the 2 different sizes of rectangular working space and openings on each of them are proportional. The two levels represent two different working space, where the lower one is for mathematics and the upper one is for language.  From my hypothesis, I mention that she is a multi-linguist, so that openings are the representation of mouths. The structure is open   where Gaetana can actually enjoy the sea view and the scenic view of the landscape on both sides. This is also to show the openness of Gaetana's  personality.

( distance view )

The structure faces the sea on one side and the landscape on the other side

Purple light comes from the lab.

(close view)

Material is applied so as to show different layers of the structure. The outer the lighter, the inner the darker ( applies to both rectangle). However, unlike Newton's Lab which only has one material, Gaetana's Lab has 2 materials to show the multi-lingual ability of her. The material for the upper lab (linguistic use) is a mixed lines, giving a very complexed look but indeed each lines join other lines at some point. This is to indicate that people speak different language can still communicate in many ways and they have similar/same expressions. Besides, the two small outer boxes lead Gaetana to the second level.

(lower lab)

(upper lab- complicated lines)

The following 2 pictures show the pathway of Gaetana to the meeting point (the long and bright platform) which is just right outside the lab. As the structure of Gaetana's lab is already complicated enough, it is best for her to get to the meeting point in a simple, easy and quick way.

Newton's Lab

Contrast to Gaetana's Lab, Newton's Lab is situated high on the hill and is surrounded by trees and nature in a much isolated area. There is a waterfall next to the lab too. The waterfall and the height of the lab are to reflect gravity. Meanwhile, as a physicist, Newton loves nature and is comfortable to work in where the structure is surrounded by the waterfall, the trees and on the hill as he can be inspired by nature anytime.

This shows the pathway for Newton to walk to the meeting point from the top of the hill and serves as a navigation of the mountain to the meeting point as well.

waterfall next to the structure with a rainbow above :)

Blue light shows where exactly the Newton works at

Darker material is applied to the lab as scientist always discover new rules/theories in the dark.
It shows how texture plays here too. It changes from darker inside the lighter outside and the lightest for the structure which supports the whole Newton's Lab structure ( the vertical one). This is to point out that whenever something is unclear and in doubt, it is always in dark and vice versa.

The Meeting Point

The meeting point is straight, long and bright centrally located between the two labs without any distractions. This allows the 2 clients to share thoughts with a clear mind.

Landscape

The landscape is basically a round island surrounded by the ocean with a round lake in the middle. There is waterfall, some beaches. The clients can walk to the beach from the structure through a mountain path so that they can enjoy some relaxing moment while working. Besides the hill is high enough to touch the cloud too.

White clouds is surrounding the hill at the back.
