Week 1 of Exp 3- Mashup

My three clients:

Oprah Winfrey
Lady Gaga
Jonnathan Ive

Mashup:

As a TV star, magazine founder, businesswoman and celebrity, she believes influence is the union of power and purpose. She is a lodestar in its journey to global trendsetter and her mere presence is enough to trigger waves of hysteria. She is outrageous, artistic, brilliant, is a perfectionist and being the centre of attention. But most important, she has purpose—an abiding commitment to the principles of goodness and generosity that transcend any one individual by designing. She has this design ability combined with a craftsmanlike mentality with her style and sound. Her power of being a top star comes from the principle of simplicity, accessibility, honesty, and enjoyment. With a radical design, it is also so refined it could have been manufactured right then. Being in a league of her own in both her style and her sound, she is the new age alternative of Madonna who makes you want to invite her into your life—and she invites you into hers.

Week 1 of Exp 3- the three clients

Oprah Winfrey (1954-)

Hometown: United States

Article extract :  I believe influence is the union of power and purpose. As a TV star, magazine founder, businesswoman and celebrity, Oprah Winfrey certainly has power. But most important, she has purpose—an abiding commitment to the principles of goodness and generosity that transcend any one individual. I have sat with Oprah in interviews and in my home. I have felt her warmth, and I am always moved by her deep love for others. She makes you want to invite her into your life—and she invites you into hers.

Lady Gaga (1986-)

Hometown:  U.S.

Article Extract: She wooed us with Poker Face, taken off her 2008 debut album, The Fame, and, in summing up her perpetual eye-popping transformation with her style and sound, delivered her current eponymous lead single, Born This Way, with aplomb and controversy. In the past three years, Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has lived up to her name and her mere presence is enough to trigger waves of hysteriaA heady mix of electronic, metal/rock and pop sums up Gaga’s musical anthology. And that insatiable hunger to maintain her edgy sound is arguably revolutionising pop culture.
Is she outrageous? Yes. Does she revel in being the centre of attention? Most definitely. ….
As a friend, who is an intransigently die-hard fan, puts it, she is “artistic and brilliant”….
She is often compared to Madonna. But she seems to leap ahead and is in a league of her own in both her style and her sound. If anything, she is the new age alternative,….

Jonathan Ive (1967-)
Hometown:  United Kingdom

Article Extract : Even then, it was clear that Apple's head of design knew what he was doing. Ive defined his overarching design principles as "simplicity, accessibility, honesty, and enjoyment."And Ive -- with an assist, of course, from CEO Steve Jobs -- has been the company's lodestar in its journey to global trendsetter…"He likes to make perfect stuff," says Brunner…. Ive has this design ability combined with a craftsmanlike mentality."He had taken a phone and come up with a radical design, but it was so refined it could have been manufactured right then.
