3 Animation

This video shows the sections in different points of view.
It brings the viewer to get the brief introduction to the building concerning both above and below ground.
It shows cross-sections, longitudinal-sections and top view- sections.

This video shows Malangi’s studio on first floor. It is inspired by the word Pattern. There is one staircase leading from the side-door to the first floor and an extended platform which is the place for Malangi to work at. In the center of this building, there is a round platform which has 5 short columns. These are the imitation of one of the Malangi’s aboriginal art work. There is also a tunnel using my own’s material (word-curvy) linking from that platform to the ground floor. Besides, there is another stair which links from this platform to a lower platform on the other side.

The material chosen for this area is from my own work which is dry. The colour I chose for this material is orange brown as I think it works well with the word dry and shows the feeling of the aboriginal art piece Malangi has been doing.

This video shows Banksy’s studio underground.
They are composed of three individual compartment. It is inspired by the word Bleed.
Above all, two of the compartments are linked by a tunnel and the one of them has a spiral stairs which allows people to walk from groundfloor to underground. The tunnel between the two compartments made the Banksy’s studio more private. The other compartment is linked to the ground directly by the broken stairs. It is a gallery right above this compartment and people can purchase the art work there.

Sketch Sections and Draft Sketchup Models (1 and 2)

Sketch 1

Pattern/ Bleed

Draft Sketchup Model 1

The above ground structure is derived from the word "Pattern". I used 8 repeated rhombus which of those are of different size but still being arranged in a regular place to make it a pattern. I imagined that there will be space inside the rhombus, and outside between 2 consecutive rhombus.
The material I chose for the rhombus is transparent glasses to allow more light to come into the building and at the same time make it more interactive.

The below ground structure is derived from the word "Bleed". Blood is a few times as viscous as water, indicating that it is more resistant to flow than water, so it has thicker skin than water. Therefore, I created the 3 "blood" (hollow) underground with certain thickness.
The material I chose for the Blood is Metal, as blood has high concentration of Zinc which is a metal to allow it remains a metallic structure.

Sketch 2

Dangerous/ Pattern

Draft Sketchup Model 2

he above ground structure is derived from the word "dangerous". It has that sharp and spiky roof to create a dangerous and uncomfortable feeling.
The material I chose is transparent glass so the pointy feature of the top is blatantly shown.

The below ground structure is derived from the word "Pattern". Several different sizes of rectangle are created to allow more space for the gallery and also made a big contrast between the above and below ground structure. This is to make the building looks milder.
The material chosen is abundantly wood except one of them is blue in colour which is generally a aquarium -like exhibition area which art pieces are placed inside the "aquarium".
